Recently amalgamated VersaBank posts strong results, plus a dividend

Royal Bank of Canada wasn’t the only chartered bank to report its fourth quarter and annual results on Wednesday.

VersaBank, which resulted from an amalgamation with its parent PWC Capital last January, also reported. And just like Royal, Versa also recorded stellar results: for the quarter, net income was $2.8 million (about one per cent of what Royal made), while for the year, it was $19.5 million — about 1.5 per cent of what Royal made for the same period.
