We are currently looking to add an Senior Analyst, Treasury to our Treasury team. This is currently an in-person role working out of our VersaBank Innovation Centre of Excellence (VICE) office in London, Ontario.
As the Senior Analyst, Treasury, you will be responsible for supporting the management of the Bank’s Treasury functions, in areas including cash flow forecasting, liquidity and interest rate risk management, derivative transactions, and cost of funds functions. You will also be responsible for reviewing and enhancing various Treasury models and policies and assisting the Treasurer with the preparation of reporting packages.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Maintain cash flow forecasting models to ensure adequate liquidity and optimize cash management.
- Manage the bank’s investment portfolio, ensuring compliance with investment policies and optimizing returns.
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly management and board reports.
- Perform ALM analytics, focusing on interest rate and liquidity risk analytics and associated reporting.
- Enhance the Bank’s Treasury data and information management systems, including cash flow and general liquidity data acquisition, integration, and reporting processes.
- Review and update the Treasury department’s policy manuals, and support the development of standard operating procedures.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in completing all regulatory and external reporting requirements.
- Conduct economic and financial modeling for capital and liquidity planning and support the Bank’s annual business plan development from a Treasury perspective.
- Collaborate closely with the finance team on Treasury-related matters.
- Conduct ad-hoc projects and analysis as required by the Treasurer.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or actively working towards it.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in banking.
- Expertise in financial statement analysis and modeling skills.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Power BI and Excel, specifically related to financial modeling.
- Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively independently.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg is an asset.
