The Manager, Payment Cards is responsible for development, implementation, compliance and management of all payment card-related programs, with an initial emphasis on a prepaid card product. The incumbent will be the primary liaison with card networks and any third-party service providers to ensure appropriate standards, reporting and compliance protocols are consistently met.
Reporting to the Executive Head & Senior Vice President, e-Commerce, this position will be responsible for all aspects of implementing a new payment card program for VersaBank. Major emphasis is on the development of internal controls and ongoing compliance with Anti-Money Laundering, Consumer Privacy & Protection and Card Network rules and regulations. This role will lead the development of the new program, negotiate key service providers, create and deliver internal business plans and presentations to senior management and the Board of Directors as well as manage the day-to-day operations and compliance for all payment card programs.
While our office is located in London, ON, the successful candidate could be located elsewhere in Canada. However, from time to time there will be meetings in London that will require attendance.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and an efficient, results driven operations leader with extensive experience developing and managing successful payment card programs. You also have proven ability in strategic and business planning and execution as well as establishing mutually beneficial relationships with payment networks and other technology partners.
Your background includes at least five years’ experience in a related position including direct experience working with Visa and/or MasterCard. A Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent is preferred. Prior working experience with AML/ATF regulations strongly preferred as well as a prepaid credit card program. The successful candidate also has knowledge and experience with Consumer Protection, Privacy and Payment Card rules regulations. You also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are proficient with Microsoft Excel.
