This position will appeal to a results-oriented individual who is comfortable with challenging performance targets and thrives in a unique, dynamic, tech savvy, informal team environment.

Reporting to the Vice President, Structured Finance, this position will be part of the eCommerce group, and after a training period, will provide portfolio management oversight for new and existing client relationships in VersaBank’s Point of Sale Financing Program. This program involves purchasing loan and lease receivables from finance companies that operate throughout Canada in a variety of industries. The primary functional tasks are in the areas of program management, portfolio analysis, client negotiation and interaction, closing of legal documentation, and credit preparation and financial analysis.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned multi-dimensional banking professional with a background in corporate or commercial credit and lending. A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Chartered Financial Analyst, or similar designation is preferred. You have superior analytical and decision making skills based on effective risk assessment/management and Excel modelling capabilities. You also have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent client service skills. You have seven to ten years’ experience in commercial/corporate credit underwriting and portfolio management.
