We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Director – Structured Finance. This position will be a hybrid position – working at both our VersaBank Innovation Center of Excellence in London as well as from home occasionally.

This position will appeal to a results-oriented individual who is comfortable exceeding challenging performance targets and thrives in a small, dynamic, tech savvy, informal environment.

Reporting to the Vice President of Structured Finance, this position will be part of the Bank’s Point of-Sale Financing division, and after a training period, will provide portfolio management oversight for new and existing client relationships in VersaBank’s Point-of-Sale program. This program involves purchasing loan and lease receivables from finance companies that operate throughout Canada and recently the United States in a variety of industries. The primary functional tasks are in the areas of program management, portfolio analysis, client negotiation and interaction, closing of legal documentation, and credit preparation and financial analysis.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned multidimensional banking professional with a background in corporate or commercial credit and lending. A Master’s degree in Business Administration or a Chartered Financial Analyst designation is preferred with a minimum 5 years’ experience. You have superior analytical and decision-making skills based on effective risk assessment/management and basic excel modelling capabilities. You also have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent client service skills. You have five or more years’ experience in commercial/corporate credit underwriting and portfolio management.
